Limits
To keep the online version fast and fair for everyone, each organisation’s workspace has limits.
| What | Limit |
|---|---|
| Offices per workspace | 10 |
| Floors per office | 20 |
| Size of one uploaded file | 25 MB |
| Storage per workspace (all plans and files together) | 500 MB |
| People per workspace (members and open invitations) | 25 |
The limits above apply to the whole organisation, not to each person. There are also limits per person, to keep the map service fair for everyone:
| What | Limit per person |
|---|---|
| Requests to Places Builder | 120 per minute |
| Map images (tiles) | 2000 per hour |
These are far above normal use. Panning and zooming a lot on the map in the alignment step uses the most tiles. All limits can change during the pilot.
What happens when you reach a limit
Places Builder tells you which limit it is and does not save the change. Nothing that already exists is removed.
- Too many offices or floors: remove one you no longer need, or ask your workspace owner whether it is still needed.
- A file is too large: reduce the size of the floor plan (for example export the PDF at a lower image quality) and upload it again.
- Too many requests or map images: wait a minute (or up to an hour for map images) and try again. Parts of the map stay blank until then.
- Storage is full: delete a floor plan or an office you no longer use. Replacing a plan with a new version does not count twice.

If you run Places Builder yourself, these limits are off unless you set them.
